Valeria Mazzoletti specialises in civil litigation: she advises clients on a range of commercial, corporate, financial intermediation and insolvency matters, including in both pre-litigation and litigation phases, as well as in the negotiation of out-of-court settlements. She particularly specialises in bankruptcy proceedings and debt restructuring. On various occasions she was appointed as a member of the Supervisory Committee of Italian brokerage companies (Sim) and asset-management companies (SGR) undergoing administrative compulsory liquidation, often liaising with the Bank of Italy.

Moreover, she has considerable experience in arbitration proceedings, both as legal counsel for the defence and as a sole arbitrator or member of arbitration panels, including the Arbitration Chamber of the Milan Chamber of Commerce.

She was admitted to the Milan Bar in 1987 and in 2000 was admitted to practice before the Italian Court of Cassation.

Prior to joining the firm in 2014, she specialised in commercial law as a trainee at the Milan law firm of Giuseppe Tristano; from 2004 to 2012 she was partner of Pedersoli e Associati and subsequently head of the litigation department at d’Urso, Gatti e Bianchi law firm.

After graduating cum laude in Law from the Università Statale di Milano the with publication of her dissertation in 1984, she was a teaching assistant in Civil Procedure Law with the same University, under the guidance of Prof. Giuseppe Tarzia.

From 1995 to 2001 she taught Civil Procedure Law in the postgraduate course organised by I.S.U., a study institute founded at the Università degli Studi di Milano.

She is the author of numerous publications and regularly participates as a speaker on civil procedural law and bankruptcy law issues at conferences and seminars.
