Elisa Cazzani is based at the Milan office and she advises on matters pertaining to commercial, corporate, banking and financial intermediation, as well as insolvency law, advising clients in pre-litigation phases, mediation and the negotiation of settlement agreements.

She specialises in ordinary legal and arbitration proceedings, particularly with regard to corporate liability actions, claims for damages and clawback actions in bankruptcy, as well as disputes concerning compound interest and usury, securities brokerage transactions and bankruptcy proceedings.

Furthermore, she assists financial intermediaries in regulatory proceedings relating to compliance and sanctions.

She was admitted to the Milan Bar in 2002 and in 2015 she was admitted to practice before the Italian Supreme Court of Cassation.
She graduated with honours in Law from the Università degli Studi di Ferrara where she was also a teaching assistant in Institutions of Private Law.

After a short experience working in the Corporate Affairs department of a leading Italian service company, she worked at the law firm of Prof. Avv. Valerio Tavormina and later at Gatti Pavesi Bianchi law firm.

She joined Giovanardi Pototschnig & Associati in December 2014.
