Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane has selected Altarea Cogedim – assisted by Giovanardi Pototschnig & Associati – as best bidder for the competitive procedure for the sale of 100% of the capital of Centostazioni Retail, the company holding the long-term commercial and advertising exploitation in the railway stations of Milan Porta Garibaldi, Turin Porta Susa, Padua, Rome Ostiense and Naples Afragola.
The abovementioned stations are mostly located in urban areas with a high population density and are attended in total by over 70 million people a year.
The commercial exploitation of Centostazioni Retail is involving areas currently amounting to over 18 thousand square meters, with a growth potential within 2026 up to 26 thousand square meters; generally speaking advertising exploitation concerns properties into stations.
The transaction provides for a sale price of CS Retail amounting to 45 million euros, in addition to the fees for the economic exploitation contract. The signing is expected within March 2019.
